Joe is a full time real estate investor and broker focused on serving the investor community as well as those who just want a great deal on their next home.   His experience in real estate lending, brokering and investing allow him to bring a unique perspective and set of skills to every transaction. This serves his clients well and provides them with a competitive advantage.  Outside of work Joe is focused on spending time with his growing family including his wife and two young daughters.  In his free time he enjoys learning new things, reading and meeting new people.

The Background: 

Joe has lived with his family in the Denver area for 8 years after moving here from New Mexico.  After completing graduate degrees in business management and banking from the University of New Mexico and the University of Colorado, the first part of his career was spent in commercial lending for several Denver area banks. This experience provided him with a solid foundation in how to analyze and underwrite real estate transactions and really fueled his passion for the real estate investing business.  Being in the lender’s position taught him how lenders think, which helps him and his clients.  In addition, this background connected him with many trustworthy local lender contacts, contractors and other investors which come in very handy for him and his real estate clients.

The Realtor: 

As a Realtor Joe adds value for his clients through not only his real world experiences as a lender and a broker but also through his commitment to honesty with buyers and sellers.  As a client, he will always provide you with his true opinion and provide you with the best information possible so you can make the right decision.  As his clients would attest, he works tirelessly for them and makes every decision based on the best interest of the client and the long term relationship, not the commission check.  Part of being honest is accepting that we are not experts in all areas.  That is why the team concept at Synergy appealed to Joe.  It provides him and his clients with access to a trustworthy team of professionals including but not limited to a real estate attorney, an appraiser, a CPA, an administrative staff and other like-minded investors.  Access to this network is what sets Synergy Realtors apart from the competition.

The Investor: 

Being a commercial lender provided Joe the opportunity to learn about successful real estate investing but there is no substitute for actually doing something yourself.  Joe has successfully pooled private capital and bank financing to purchase multiple rental properties and fix and flips in the Denver metro area over the past 6 years.  He enjoys all the aspects of real estate including finding profitable opportunities, managing the improvements, attracting the right tenants/buyers and providing a great return for his investors and lenders.  It allows him to be an active part of the community, meet new people and constantly learn new things.
